Discovered on 18 December 1994 in Vallon Pont d’Arc, in the Ardèche, the Caverne du Pont d’Arc, a UNESCO World Heritage site, contains drawings of exceptional quality dating back 36,000 years. Originally known as the Grotte Chauvet, the Caverne du Pont d’Arc is world-famous.
Because the original cave is closed to the public, its replica has been open since April 2015. Guided tours of the replica. An interactive museum completes the visit.
